The elusive or vacuous quest for the pursuit of happiness and the thirst to quench our insatiable curiosity can lead us to form a close acquaintance and dally with marijuana. The seductive lure of marijuana is potent for people of any age, especially teenagers, to succumb to their trap. As time wears away, an increasing amount of various resources are allocated to unearth all the mysteries that is intertwined in marijuana. Recently, amidst all the controversy that has shrouded this highly controversial topic, researchers have unearthed that teenagers indulging in marijuana consumption were susceptible to low IQ levels and mental impairments later on in their course of life.In New Zealand, researchers amassed a total of 1000 people varying in age to delve deeper into the detrimental effects that marijuana causes to the brain. The people who had consented to be a part of this massive study were monitored by the researchers for 25 years. Prior to the initiation of the study, the researchers analyzed and examined the IQ levels of those people. The researchers observed the significant decline in IQ levels of those who indulged in habitual consumption of marijuana. What is more extraordinary is that the decline in IQ levels was directly proportional to the amount of marijuana consumed. Continual consumption of marijuana caused an irreversible decline in IQ levels; cutting down or escaping from the clutches of marijuana was still not sufficient to restore their initial levels and thus, prevented those people from achieving their full potential. According to the researchers, this was due to the fact that persistent abuse of marijuana caused neuropsychological decline. Let this revelation be a warning for all those who are thinking about consuming marijuana for the first time in this life which is filled with an endless bundle of potentials and those that are habitual consumers.
Seeking solace in the bosoms of marijuana might seemingly whisk the user away to a paradise which they previously thought had never existed but it is nothing more than a veiled illusion.
